River
of Life
The river sustains an abundance of animal life. If you take a
quiet walk by the river, you will be pleasantly surprised to find birds,
insects and all kinds of interesting animals by the river. Fish is in
abundance and you can see them in the clear water during the high tide.
When the sun is hot and overhead, many lizards will come out to bask in
the heat. They will remain motionless for hours enjoying the heat. Another
wonderful discovery is a family of kingfishers who nests by the river. It
is not uncommon to see them waiting by the railings for their prey and
then swooping down into the water to catch their meals.

It is not uncommon to see groups of terrapins
swimming in the water. They were probably released by some irresponsible pet
owners.
